Supreme Court Review
The supreme court is the highest known judicial power in the United States. founded in 1789 the Supreme Court has been upholding the constitution and defending American rights for a very long time for over 200 years in fact. the job of the Supreme Court is to 1 uphold the constitution, 2 to review petitions, 3 to make sure that no rights are being violated in any case, petition or general issue when it comes to Legality.
something that I learned about the Supreme Court that I honestly forgot about was that members of the Supreme Court can still be on the bench for decades. their is no service limit for Supreme Court members. one can serve on the supreme court until they die.
the most surprising thing I learned from the videos about the Supreme Court was that it hears cases in public it is not closed off or private. this is something that is genuinely a great thing because their are many closed door cases that go on and sometimes they are very unjust.
Honestly my view on the Supreme Court has not changed I have always thought that it is an essential part of our government because they uphold the constitution to the highest standard and there are no exceptions. This to me is very important and very respectable and something that is absolutely needed.
